This page explains what cookies CapitalCurve uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (phone, tablet or computer) when you visit it. They let the site remember things like whether you are signed in or which language you chose. Similar technologies such as localStorage work the same way and are treated as cookies on this page.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for CapitalCurve to work. They keep you signed in, protect your session, and remember short-lived state such as your consent choice. Without them the app cannot function. Under EU rules these do not require consent.
3. Functional cookies
These remember preferences that make the app nicer to use — mainly your chosen language and display currency. They are only set once you make that choice and are considered strictly necessary to deliver a service you explicitly requested.
4. Analytics cookies
CapitalCurve does not currently use any third-party analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Facebook Pixel). If we ever add analytics in the future, we will update this page and ask for your explicit consent before setting them.
5. No advertising or tracking cookies
We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. Your activity in the app is not shared with ad networks or data brokers.
6. Your consent and how to change it
On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. You can accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or manage your choice. Rejecting is as easy as accepting — one tap. You can change your mind at any time by using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which reopens the banner.
7. How long cookies are stored
Session and authentication cookies last for the duration of your session or up to about 30 days for the "stay signed in" token. Your language and currency preferences last up to 12 months or until you change them. Your cookie consent choice is stored for up to 12 months, after which we ask again.
8. Third-party services
Authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase, which sets a strictly necessary cookie or local-storage entry to keep you signed in. We do not embed third-party trackers, ad scripts or social widgets that set their own cookies.
